The beautiful city of Kamloops has its core located in the valley near the confluence of the two arms of the Thomson river at the end of Kamloop lake, and derives its name from the first nation Shuswap tongue "Tk'Ymlúps" which means 'meeting of the waters'. The suburbs stretch for several km along both branches of the river.
GE free Kamloops and te Eco Club of Thomson River University have joined hands to host an exciting event at the Alumni Clock Tower Theatre of the campus, between 7 and 9:30 PM, for Drs Thierry Vrain and Shiv Chopra to address attendees that are expected to contain a large portion of the student body along with people of the area, perhaps numbering above 200. It is hoped that there will be a healthy exchange of views through the Question and Answer session.
